I AM Patterns Crystal Dungaree Dress

Buy the Crystal Dungaree Dress sewing pattern from I AM Patterns. I am Crystal, a dungaree dress that revisits a classic to give it a modern twist. I keep the signature details that make this piece iconic: a loose fit, front and back bibs, adjustable straps, a large compartmentalised chest pocket, two front slash pockets, buttoned side openings, and contrast topstitching. I change appearance according to which of three skirts you choose. The long straight skirt and short straight skirt both have a faux fly and two back patch pockets. The long flared skirt has a layer of tulle.

Suggested fabrics: 

All versions: Medium weight woven fabrics such as denim, cotton canvas, gabardine, corduroy, cotton twill, etc. If using heavyweight fabric, use a lighter fabric for the back bib facing, the waist facings, and to line the straps. This will help avoid bulk.

Pocket lining: Cotton poplin or batiste.

Version C only: Soft sheer fabrics such as tulle or chiffon.

Version A: 140 cm (55") wide fabric: 185 - 205 cm (2 - 2 1/4 yd) // 110 cm (43") wide fabric: 270 - 290 cm (3 - 3 1/4 yd).

Version B: 140 cm (55") wide fabric: 145 - 155 cm (1 5/8 - 1 3/4 yd) // 110 cm (43") wide fabric: 185 - 205 cm (2 - 2 1/4 yd).

Version C: 140 cm (55") wide opaque fabric: 260 - 275 cm (2 7/8 - 3 yd) + 140 cm (55") wide sheer fabric: 190 cm (2 1/8 yd).

Pocket lining: 140 cm (55") wide fabric: 40 cm (1/2 yd) // 110 cm (43") wide fabric: 40 cm (1/2 yd).

Sizing: EU 34 – 52 (approx. UK 6 – 18, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.
