Buy the Narva Coat sewing pattern from Hey June Handmade. The Narva Coat is a relaxed fit outer layer designed for warm woollen fabric to keep you cosy and cute all winter. It features welt or in-seam pockets to keep your hands toasty, an optional decorative lapel notch, stand collar, and full coverage knee length. The Narva is designed to be worn open, and works equally well over leggings and sneakers for running errands or over formal wear for a night out. An optional belt is included to keep the coat bundled tight for colder temperatures, or you can add a button or two if desired as an alternate closure option.

Suggested fabrics: 

Main: 60" wide coating weight wool, bouclé, tweed, or wool blends.

Lining: 54" wide lightweight silk, polyester, charmeuse, or crepe.

Fabric requirements:

Main: 60" (152 cm) wide fabric: Sizes 0 - 12, 3 1/4 yd (3 m) // Sizes 14 - 30, 4 1/4 yd (3.9 m).

Lining: 54" (137 cm) wide fabric: Sizes 0 - 12, 2 yd (1.8 m) // Sizes 14 - 30, 3 yd (2.7 m).

Sizing: US 0 – 30 (approx. UK 8 – 32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and pattern measurements.

Notions: One set of 1/4"-1/2" thick shoulder pads; 2 1/2 yd of 20" wide lightweight woven fusible interfacing // Optional: one or two 3/4"-1" buttons for an alternate closure if desired.
