Buy the Lucerne Blouse sewing pattern from Hey June Handmade. The Lucerne is a relaxed fit blouse with shaping through the body, a faced neckline, and a curved shirttail hem. View A has a tie on the short sleeve and View B features a more feminine petal sleeve. Both views have the option for a V or scoop neck.

The Lucerne is perfect for almost any situation depending on fabric and styling. It makes the perfect top for vacation, casual weekend get togethers, the office, or a girls’ night out! The loose and flowy hemline is very forgiving and comfortable to wear both untucked and tucked in.

The Lucerne sleeves are also interchangeable with the sleeves on the Amalfi Dress and Phoenix Blouse!

Lucerne Blouse

This is version A with tie sleeves and a v neck, but the pattern also comes with the option of a scoop neck and petal sleeves which I've already cut out! I love the shape of this top, its slightly fitted at the sides and has a lovely curved hem. The front is long enough to be tucked in, and the back is lower with a nice amount of coverage.

I went by my high bust/bust measurement as per the chart but I could have done with doing an FBA. There are instructions for how to do this in the pattern instructions, as well as more instructions for other fit alterations which is fantastic.

The instructions are really clear and it came together easily and quickly.

I'll be making more of these blouses and adding the sleeves to different patterns too!

Lovely Lucerne

I’ve had the Lucerne Blouse in my stash for a while and I found the perfect length piece of left over Atelier Brunette Viscose Crepe Fabric

I went with a size 10, in accordance with my bust measurement, with no adjustments.

Whilst the fabric is not the most summery of prints, and it feels very much like we’re already heading for Autumn already around here, it’s a complete success.

It’s fairly long (much like my lock down hair!), but perfect for tucking in/half tucked, which is generally how I’ll wear it.

The tie on the sleeve just elevates it from the ordinary and was simple to do. I’ll definitely be using this detail on sleeve cuffs in the future, both long and short. I think that next time I would gather the end of the sleeve slightly before attaching the cuff, to make it narrower around the arm and give a nod to today’s full sleeve trend.

Beautiful little shirt

Very simple make yet the sleeve detail makes it very interesting! I made it in linen and it’s a great summer top.
The instructions are great and it fits true to size.
I share all about it in my july makes video : https://youtu.be/hxt5BKp--lU

Lucerne Blouse review

This is a lovely simple top pattern, but the sleeve details make it a little bit special. I made the petal sleeve version, but I also love the tie sleeve option. I graded between two sizes according to my measurements and the fit was perfect. The instructions are detailed, with information on making alterations. One extra thing that sold me on this pattern was that the sleeves are interchangeable with those for the Phoenix blouse, giving you the potential of making so many different tops. I did make a minor change to my version using bias binding at the neck rather than the facing, as my fabric was a little see through. I know I will be making many more versions of this top, if you are looking for a woven top pattern this is a great option.
