Note if purchasing copy shop printing: Some of the pattern pieces have been split (to fit on the A0 sheets) and will need to be joined together.
Suggested fabrics: Light to medium weight woven fabrics with no stretch. Linen, cotton (lawn, poplin, voile, batiste, chambray, quilting cotton, flannel), silk, wool, hemp, rayon/viscose challis, satin, and Tencel will work well. Heavier weight textured woven fabrics (like terry cloth, waffle, and velour) will also work with this pattern. Stable knits like fleece are also appropriate. For beginner sewists, the designer recommends using a lightweight cotton.
Fabric requirements: Allow extra fabric for nap, directional prints, or pattern matching with plaids, stripes, or novelty prints.
View A: 57″ (145 cm) wide fabric: 3.8 - 5.5 yd (3.5 - 5 m) // 45″ (115 cm) wide fabric (sizes 0-26 only): 4.9 - 6.2 yd (4.5 - 5.7 m).
View B: 57″ (145 cm) wide fabric: 3.1 - 4.9 yd (2.8 - 4.5 m) // 45″ (115 cm) wide fabric: 4.2 - 5.5 yd (3.8 - 5 m).
Contrast fabric for collar, cuffs, and waist tie (optional): 1.2 - 1.6 yd (1.1 - 1.5 m). Note you will require less of the main body fabric if using contrast fabric (see chart).
Sizing: US 0 – 34 (approx. UK 6 – 34, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.
This pattern has been drafted for a 5'6" (168 cm) tall person.
Notions: Lightweight fusible interfacing (not necessary if using heavier weight fabric or fleece); 0.5 yd/m of twill tape (for ties - only necessary if using heavier weight fabric or fleece).
