Buy the Falconer Pants sewing pattern from Helen's Closet. The Falconer Pants are high-waisted woven pants with two leg shape options. View A is full length with a wide leg and View B is ankle length with a barrel leg. Both views feature a unique side panel detail with set-in side pockets. The pants have a zipper fly closure and a curved waistband.

Note if purchasing copy shop printing: Some of the pattern pieces have been split (to fit on the A0 sheets) and will need to be joined together.

Suggested fabrics: Medium to heavy weight woven fabric with no stretch. Bottom weight fabrics like denim, cotton twill, canvas, and corduroy work well. Medium weight cottons or linens can also work for a lighter weight pant.

Fabric requirements: Allow extra fabric for pattern matching with plaids and stripes.

View A Wide Leg: 57" (145 cm) wide fabric: 2.5 - 3.2 yd (2.3 - 2.9 m) // 45" (115 cm) wide fabric*: 2.8 - 4.2 yd (2.6 - 3.8 m).

View B Barrel Leg: 57" (145 cm) wide fabric: 2.4 - 3 yd (2.2 - 2.7 m) // 45" (115 cm) wide fabric*: 2.6 - 3.9 yd (2.4 - 3.6 m).

* Note you will have to cut the waistband piece on the cross grain for sizes 22-34 on 45" (115 cm) wide fabric. This may not work with directional fabrics like corduroy. 

Sizing: US 0 – 34 (approx. UK 6 – 34, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements. This pattern has been drafted for a 5'6" (168 cm) tall person.

Notions: Lightweight woven fusible interfacing; 17 mm button or jeans button; pants zipper (length depends on size).
