Buy the La Brea Tee sewing pattern from Halfmoon Atelier. The La Brea Tee is named after La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles. It was in a vintage shop there that the designer found herself drawn to a rack of '80s throwback knit tees with grown-on sleeves and bound necklines. She remembered wearing this style as a child and couldn't wait to get back home and sew one up for herself!

While La Brea will fit your "basic tee" needs, it also has plenty of interesting details. La Brea was drafted for both woven and knit fabrics, each resulting in a completely different look. Raw edges are neatly worked away with French seams and bias facing. Not familiar with these yet? No worries - the instructions guide you smoothly through the steps. Perhaps most exciting, though, is that this pattern comes in 18 different layered and nested sizes, each with B-cup and D-cup options.

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:

- PDF (available to download immediately after purchase). What is a PDF?

- PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you'll need to download the digital instructions, as we don't print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Suggested fabrics:

View A is most suited to light- to mid-weight knits, without additional lycra or elastane, such as 100% cotton, linen, hemp or modal knits. If you'd prefer to use a stretch knit (e.g. 95% cotton/5% elastane), size down one or two sizes.

View B is most suited to light- to mid-weight wovens, such as cotton, linen, rayon, silk or double gauze. The drape of the fabric will change the look of the final garment.

Fabric requirements:

View A: 150 cm (59") wide fabric: 80 - 170 cm (7/8 - 1 7/8 yd) // 137 cm (54") wide fabric: 80 - 170 cm (7/8 - 1 7/8 yd) // 106 cm (41") wide fabric: 120 - 170 cm (1 1/4 - 1 7/8 yd).

View B: 150 cm (59") wide fabric: 70 - 150 cm (3/4 - 1 5/8 yd) // 137 cm (54") wide fabric: 70 - 150 cm (3/4 - 1 5/8 yd) // 106 cm (41") wide fabric: 80 - 150 cm (7/8 - 1 5/8 yd).

Sizing: 1 - 18 (approx. UK 6 - 38). Please check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Coordinating thread; bias tape (see charts); ball point or stretch needle (for knits).

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/US letter print-at-home pattern (30 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (2 sheets); US copy shop pattern (1 sheet). This pattern has layers so you can print just the size(s) you need.
