Elysian is a long sleeve bodysuit with a scoop neckline, curved seaming under the chest, and two cuff options. The style lines make it perfect for mixing and matching colours and patterns. Suggested fabrics: The Elysian Bodysuit is designed for knits with at least 50% cross grain stretch and 4-way stretch. This means your fabric needs to be able to stretch on both the lengthwise and crosswise grain.
Fabric requirements: You may need to purchase extra yardage if your fabric has a heavy nap, is directional, striped, or has an obvious repeat.
54″-60″ (137-153 cm) wide fabric: XS - M, 1.25 yd (1.1 m) // L - XXL, 1.5 yd (1.4 m) // 1X - 4X, 2 yd (1.8 m) // 5X - 7X, 2.2 yd (2 m).
Sizing: XS – 7X (approx. UK 6 – 34, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.
The pattern was drafted using sample measurements for a height of 5'6" (168 cm) and a B/C cup bra size.
Notions: Stretch or jersey sewing machine needle.
PDF pattern includes: Instructions; US letter/A4 print-at-home pattern (28 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (2 sheets). This pattern has layers so you can print just the size(s) you need.

I’m a big fan of a bodysuit, I get they can be inconvenient for going to the toilet, but once you master the ‘pull aside’ there really isn’t any reason not to love them.
However, when this was first released I was instantly put off by the front seam, I’m usually a big fan of clean lines and I don’t like anything that has the potential to mess up pattern placement in very visible areas (I’m always too lazy to pattern match).
However, I saw a few amazing versions pop up and I decided, being a true FPC fan I had to give it a go and see what the hype was, and honestly I get it.
The bust pattern piece is lined which means it adds a little extra support and nipple hiding protection, which I know my post breast feeding mummas will be grateful for.
It came together really quickly and is soooo comfy, I reach for it all the time now and always get compliments.
I used a really soft cotton jersey and it was the perfect mix for comfort and support.
This is another excellent pattern from FPC and I can’t believe I ever doubted them. Definitely worth a sew
