Buy the Canyon Dress and Top sewing pattern from Friday Pattern Company. The Canyon Dress and Top is a breezy, versatile pattern designed to make you feel comfortable and cute as you swish through the world. It features a band collar and a V-neckline finished with a placket. There is gathering along the front and back yoke seams, giving it a nice amount of ease. The pattern includes options for long sleeves finished at the wrist with elastic, or short sleeves that hit mid bicep. This is a pull-on pattern with no zippers or buttons. The dress view features a comfortable elastic waistband and a tiered skirt with roomy pockets. Pair it with your favourite sweater on an evening stroll or dress it up and wear it on a fancy date!

Suggested fabrics: Light to mid weight woven fabrics. Fabrics with a bit of drape will give you more of a dressy look, while crisp fabric will give you a classic sundress vibe. Rayon challis, silk, lawn, voile, and linen are all great fabrics for this garment.

Fabric requirements: You may need to purchase extra yardage if your fabric has a heavy nap, is directional, striped, or has an obvious repeat.

Long sleeved dress: 45" (114 cm) wide fabric: 4.25 - 6.25 yd (3.6 - 5.5 m) // 54-60" (137-153 cm) wide fabric: 3.5 - 5.5 yd (3 - 4.8 m).

Short sleeved dress: 45" (114 cm) wide fabric: 4.25 - 5.5 yd (3.6 - 4.7 m) // 54-60" (137-153 cm) wide fabric: 3.25 - 5.1 yd (2.7 - 4.5 m).

Long sleeved top: 45" (114 cm) wide fabric: 1.6 - 2.9 yd (1.5 - 2.6 m) // 54-60" (137-153 cm) wide fabric: 1.4 - 2.3 yd (1.3 - 2.1 m).

Sizing: XS – 7X (approx. UK 6 – 34, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

The pattern was drafted using sample measurements for a height of 5'6" (168 cm) and includes options for B/C and C/D cups.
