Two Stratus tops made

I like this pattern very much. I made the first one without ties and as it comes. Very happy with it and the sizing is good. For the second one I have lengthened it. I was going to do the ties but my fabric frayed too much to manipulate the narrow pattern pieces so it underwent a quick redesign!

Easy to make and easy to wear top

I have made two of these tops now, one in cotton lawn and one in viscose challis, and I love both of them. I found the top very easy to make. The instructions were good and the sizing came out as expected. There weren’t any fitting issues as it is quite a loose style. The ties do turn out quite long and thin so I recut this pattern piece to make them shorter and wider for the viscose version as I thought it would be too fiddly otherwise. I also stitched some ribbon into the shoulder seam for the viscose top to prevent it stretching out. Already had some compliments on both tops!
