French Navy Lucien Henley Expansion

Buy the Lucien Henley Expansion sewing pattern from French Navy. The Lucien Henley Expansion is your scrap-busting bestie. Use this expansion to add a woven collar and cuffs to the Lucien Henley. This completely transforms the look and unlocks many customisation possibilities. You can go all-in by creating woven cuffs with tower plackets, or opt for short sleeves or rib cuffed sleeves. The expansion includes a pointed collar and angled cuff for a classic sporty look, as well as a rounded collar and cuff for a more whimsical feminine aesthetic.

Suggested fabrics: 

Main: Medium weight stable knit fabrics suitable for T-shirts or sweatshirts such as cotton lycra, brushed cotton sweatshirting, french terry, etc.

Collar, button placket, sleeve cuffs and plackets: Light to medium weight woven remnants such as viscose, cotton, linen, etc. 

Fabric requirements: 

Main: 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 1.7 - 1.8 m (1.9 - 2 yd) // 150 cm (59") wide fabric: 1.2 - 1.5 m (1.4 - 1.7 yd).

Collar, button placket, sleeve cuffs and plackets: 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 45 - 55 cm (18" - 22") // 150 cm (59") wide fabric: 40 - 45 cm (16" - 18").

Sizing: A – N (approx. UK 6/8 – 34, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

The pattern is drafted for a height of 171 cm (5'7") and a B cup. 

Notions: Six 1 cm buttons; 45 cm x 80 cm (18" x 32") lightweight interfacing.
