Buy the 241 Fifties Fit and Flair Dress sewing pattern from Folkwear. It features dolman sleeves, a fitted waist, gored circular skirt, and three neckline options: a refined jewel neck, elegant wide V-neck, and classic turtleneck. The jewel and turtleneck versions go through fall and winter in wool crepe, jersey, challis, or other soft fabrics. The V-neck dress is picture perfect in a flowery cotton print for summer, or in taffeta for holiday parties. Your favourite wide belt or a self-covered belt (instructions included) creates the perfect accent. There are even pockets hidden in the front gores. To echo the original retro feeling, exaggerate the fullness with several stiff petticoats, or for a contemporary look, let the skirt swing free!
Knitting instructions are also included for a six-foot stole, made in rib stitch from mohair yarn.
