Buy the 238 Unisex Le Smoking Jacket sewing pattern from Folkwear. Smoking jackets symbolised sophistication during the 1920s and 1930s, both on the silver screen and in real life.

This pattern includes two versions, both sized for men and women. One has a softly quilted lapel and cuffs, accomplished with a simple technique that does not require extra quilting materials (View B). The other is simply finished without quilting (View A). Both views offer a contrasting lapel, cuffs, sash, and pocket bands.

Also included are knitting instructions for a slinky tank top, sized for women. Knit in stockinette stitch, it has thick straps and a scoop neck. Note the knitted tank top is in sizes S-L only.

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:

– PDF (available to download immediately after purchase). What is a PDF?

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Note if purchasing copy shop printing for the men's sizes: One of the pattern pieces is divided across two A0 sheets. The two sheets will need to be joined with no overlap.
