It’s done in a jiffy, so you don't have to spend any more time in your sewing room than you want. Or why not set your sewing machine up on your terrace or in the garden? Now, there’s an idea! Either way, you'll have this graceful A-line dress finished in a flash. Short, long, or in-between – it’s up to you. The scooped neckline and open back are finished with bias tape. And the same goes for the comfortable armholes. Sew the side seam pockets, and the job is done!

Suggested fabrics: The Zita Dress calls for a lovely soft drape fabric. You could select an incredibly drapey fabric such as satin or viscose (crepe) to a moderately fluid drape fabric such as lyocell, chambray, or faux suede. Jacquard or other slightly textured fabrics work as well so long as they are not too thick or stiff.

Fabric requirements: 

Long dress: 110 cm wide fabric (sizes XS-S only): 380 - 390 cm // 140 cm wide fabric: 330 - 440 cm.

Short dress: 110 cm wide fabric: 250 - 420 cm // 140 cm wide fabric: 250 - 300 cm.

Top: 110 cm wide fabric: 185 - 210 cm // 140 cm wide fabric: 135 - 210 cm.

Note: You will need to shorten pattern pieces 1 and 2 to make a short dress or top.

Sizing: XS – XXXL (approx. UK 6 – 28/30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and pattern measurements.
