Buy the Harmony Top sewing pattern from Fibre Mood. Inspired by sailor shirts, Harmony is a treat for anyone who can’t get enough retro vibes, including a sailor collar, button flap on the shoulder, and short sleeves with gathers above the fitted cuff. Pimp Harmony your way. Cuff, no cuff, in a mix of different fabrics, maybe even with a lace insert – anything goes!

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Suggested fabrics: Harmony looks fantastic in a range of different fabrics. Wovens are the way to go, such as chambray, Tencel, and linen. Whether you choose a structured fabric or something with a fluid drape depends on the look you want. Fabrics with a fluid drape, such as (viscose) crêpe or woven viscose aren’t as voluminous. If you want more structure and volume, poplin is a great option for Harmony.

Fabric requirements: 110 cm wide fabric: 220 – 295 cm // 140 cm wide fabric: 195 – 285 cm.

Sizing: XS – XXXL (approx. UK 6 – 28/30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and pattern measurements.

Notions: Thread; iron-on interfacing, max. 40 cm; 9 buttons, 1 cm diameter; piping or cord for the sleeve tabs, 30 cm.

PDF pattern includes: Step-by-step illustrated instructions; A4/US letter print-at-home pattern (38 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (2 sheets); projector pattern.

Note: Seam allowances are included in this pattern. The copy shop file we print for you shows the cutting lines only (not cutting lines and stitching lines) to make it easier to know what size to cut out.

Beautiful top with a hint of Nautical

Initially disappointed because I looked at the sheets given on the online to get my fabric amount and it listed for a size L that if it was 145 cm wide I needed 1.5 m of fabric but when I looked at pattern sheets it required 2.5m  By this time I had ordered my fabric and it was already on route to me so unable to up the quantity ! However I was able to get the pieces out of the 1.5 with a bit of juggling!!
The cuffs fall at my elbow and luckily I had used cord elastic for the button loops so allow the cuffs to open slightly as I bend my arm - next make will be without cuffs and a voile material .
Very pleased with the make - this first is a slightly stretchy poplin material.
