Suggested fabrics: 

Barbara: For an authentic barn jacket, it is best to choose a sturdy, stable fabric. Think cotton twill, or canvas for an extra robust look. Finish the collar in a contrasting fabric such as corduroy or leather.

Bianca: For the jacket with fringes, it is best to choose a fabric that does not fray. Leather, suede or boiled wool are ideal: they are sturdy and fray-free. Faux leather or faux suede are also great alternatives and are easier to work with on a regular sewing machine. 

Fabric requirements: 

Barbara: 110 cm wide fabric: 235 - 345 cm // 140 cm wide fabric: 185 - 275 cm.

Bianca: 110 cm wide fabric: 275 - 400 cm // 140 cm wide fabric: 220 - 320 cm.

Sizing: XS – XXXL (approx. UK 6 – 28/30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and pattern measurements.

Notions: 

Barbara: Iron-on interfacing, max. 85 cm; (jeans) buttons, 1.7-2 cm diameter, 7 for XS-L or 8 for XL-XXXL; bias tape, 50 mm wide (see chart).
