Buy the Staley Top sewing pattern from Elbe Textiles. The Staley Top pattern comes with two options, perfect for layering together. View A is a cropped jumper, featuring a split hem detail that is slightly longer at the back. View B is a semi fitted T-shirt with a scooped neckline and curved hem. The armscye and sleeve head are the same for both views, which makes it easy to mix and match pattern pieces if you'd prefer View A with short sleeves or View B with long sleeves.

Sewing level: Confident beginner

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Suggested fabrics: Light to medium weight knit fabrics with at least 30% stretch widthwise. Choose a lightweight, stretchy knit for a slouchy and relaxed fit, or choose a structured knit for a neater fit.

View A: Ribbing can be used for the neck binding, cuffs, and hem bands if desired, but the main fabric is also great for these sections.

Fabric requirements: If you're using a patterned fabric with a repeat you'd like to match, you may need more fabric. For View A, if you decide to use ribbing for the neck binding, cuffs, and hem bands, you will need up to 50 cm (0.55 yd).

View A

110 cm (1.2 yd) wide fabric: 220 - 240 cm (2.4 - 2.6 yd).

150 cm (1.6 yd) wide fabric: 130 - 165 cm (1.4 - 1.8 yd).

View B

110 cm (1.2 yd) wide fabric: 140 - 180 cm (1.5 - 2 yd).

150 cm (1.6 yd) wide fabric: 100 - 150 cm (1.1 - 1.6 yd).

Sizing: A – N (approx. UK 6 – 32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

This pattern has been drafted for a height of 5'7".

This pattern has two cup size options: a B cup and a C/D cup. To find your sewing cup size, measure your high bust and full bust. The difference between the two measurements will tell you your cup size.

5 cm (2") difference = B cup
7.5 cm (3") difference = C cup
10 cm (4") difference = D cup

Notions: Lightweight iron-on interfacing; 45-70 cm of 7-10 mm twill tape.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/US letter print-at-home pattern (45 pages for each cup size); A0 copy shop pattern (3 sheets for each cup size) // Layers: Yes // Projector file: No.
