Buy the Ponderosa Pants sewing pattern from Allie Olson. Inspired by slow days walking pine forest paths, the Ponderosa Pants will help you relax into your surroundings by keeping your mind off your clothing.

These roomy bottoms have plenty of ease through the hips and thighs and feature a stretchy back waistband that sits just below the natural waist. A deeply pleated front leg and side snap closure provide the clean look of trousers.

View A offers a long, wide leg with a 29" (74 cm) inseam. View B's tapered leg is cropped at 25.75" (65 cm).

Suggested fabrics: Light to mid weight (5-7 oz) woven fabrics. Both views shine in linen, viscose, tencel, and similar blends with a liquid drape.

Fabric requirements: Additional fabric may be required for directional prints or print matching.

45" (115 cm) wide fabric: 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 yd (2.3 - 3.2 m).

54" (137 cm) wide fabric: 2 1/2 - 3 yd (2.3 - 2.7 m).

Sizing: US 00 – 32 (approx. UK 6/8 – 32/34, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

The Ponderosa Pants are drafted for a height of 5'7" (170 cm). 

Notions: Two 1/2" (1.3 cm) to 3/4" (2 cm) snaps; 1/4 yd (0.2 m) lightweight fusible interfacing; 1 1/2" (4 cm) wide waistband elastic: a length equal to half your natural waist measurement plus 1" (2.5 cm).
