Buy the Women’s Driftwood Dolman Sweatshirt sewing pattern from Waves & Wild. The Driftwood Dolman Sweatshirt is the ideal beginner or quick-sew pattern. It’s perfect for both frosty winter walks or long evenings at the beach.

There are three length options from full length to cropped, three sleeve choices (sleeveless, standard sleeve or bishop sleeve) and a tie waist option.

Matching men’s and children’s patterns are also available.

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Suggested fabrics: 

Most medium-weight knit fabrics. Fabrics with some drape work well for all options and are strongly recommended for the bishop sleeve and waist tie options. Bamboo/viscose/modal terry is ideal. Cotton/Lycra French terry works well for all options and will create a more dramatic bishop sleeve.

Cotton/Lycra ribbing for the cuffs and neckband.

Fabric requirements: 

140 cm (55″) wide fabric: Cropped sleeveless sweatshirt, 50 – 110 cm (1/2 – 1 1/4 yd)// Waist tie sleeveless sweatshirt, 90 – 160 cm (1 – 1 3/4 yd) // Full length sleeveless sweatshirt, 70 – 150 cm (3/4 – 1 5/8 yd) // Cropped sweatshirt with sleeves, 100 – 150 cm (1 1/8 – 1 5/8 yd) // Waist tie sweatshirt with sleeves, 140 – 180 cm (1 1/2 – 2 yd) // Full length sweatshirt with sleeves, 110 – 180 cm (1 1/4 – 2 yd).

140 cm (55″) wide ribbing: Maximum 30 cm (3/8 yd).

Sizing: XXS – 5XL (approx. UK 6 – 30/32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart.

This pattern is drafted for someone 165 cm (5’5″) tall.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/legal/letter print-at-home pattern (20 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (1 sheet); projector pattern. This pattern has layers so you can print just the sizes(s) you need.
