Buy the Wheaton Windbreaker sewing pattern from Hey June Handmade. The Wheaton Windbreaker is a lightweight, cropped, casual jacket featuring a long dolman sleeve. It has a wide gathered body with a fitted waistband and elasticated sleeve hems. The Wheaton features large welt pockets with optional stitch detailing, a three-piece hood, and optional hood grommets and drawstring. A centre zipper makes for easy dressing and layering. The Wheaton pairs perfectly with athletic styles like leggings and sneakers or more dressed up outfits like skinny jeans and boots.

Suggested fabrics: Midweight wovens with drape such as Tencel twill, rayon linen, flannel, corduroy, twill, or other cotton, silk, bamboo, or hemp blends. Brushed poly or cotton such as board short fabric may also be used for a weather resistant jacket.

Fabric requirements: Including length to account for fabric shrinkage and directional prints.

Main: 44″ (112 cm) wide fabric: 4 – 4.25 yd (3.7 – 3.9 m) // 56″ (142 cm) wide fabric: 3 – 3.5 yd (2.7 – 3.2 m).

Lining fabric: 44″ (112 cm) wide fabric: 0.75 yd (0.7 m) // 56″ (142 cm) wide fabric: 0.5 yd (0.5 m).

Sizing: US 0 – 30 (approx. UK 8 – 32). Please check the size chart and pattern measurements.

Notions: Matching thread; 20”, 22”, or 24” separating zipper for sizes 0 – 10, 12 – 18, or 20 – 30, respectively; 3 yd of 20” wide lightweight fusible interfacing (woven or tricot); 0.75 yd of 1” elastic // Optional: 2 eyelets or grommets; 2 yd of drawstring or similar suitable cording.
