Buy the Genoveva Top sewing pattern from Waves & Wild. The Genoveva Top is the perfect blend of glamour and ease. It has a beautiful shape and statement flutter sleeves, with a relaxed fit so you can wear it all day in complete comfort. It is named after the genoveva azure butterfly native to South Australia.

The Genoveva has pleats at the shoulders and dramatic, butterfly-inspired sleeves. Choose between a full length, swing-style top with a gentle high-low hem, or an elasticated crop top. There is also a separate pattern piece for those who require a full bust adjustment.

Suggested fabrics: Lightweight woven fabrics. Fabrics with good drape are best as they will move around the body nicely. Rayon or viscose blends are ideal. Stiffer lightweight fabrics such as cotton poplin can be used to create a dramatic, sculptural garment.

Fabric requirements: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: Full length, 150 – 260 cm (1 3/4 – 2 7/8 yd) // Cropped, 140 – 210 cm (1 5/8 – 2 3/8 yd).

If using narrower fabric, you will require more. Yardage is based on directional fabric.

Sizing: XXS – 7XL (approx. UK 6 – 34/36, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart.

Notions: A scrap of lightweight interfacing for the facing // Cropped option only: 20 mm (3/4″) wide elastic, 61 – 135 cm (24″ – 53″).
