Buy the V9191 ponchos, top, shorts and wrap trousers sewing pattern from Vogue® Patterns. It’s perfect for an advanced beginner dressmaker. The ponchos (cut on crosswise grain) have hook and eye fastening. A: Topstitching. B: Cuffs. The sleeveless top (fitted through the bust) has French darts, a back neckline slit, back pleats, and hook/thread loop. Purchased trim A, bias tape to finish necklines, armholes C. The below-waist shorts have an elastic waist and side pockets. The wide-leg, front-wrap trousers (fitted through the hips) have a back-button front waistband, back waistband with tie ends and no side seams. A, B, C, D, E: Narrow hem.

Suggested fabrics: Crepe, linen blends, jersey, silk broadcloth // Also for A, B: Cotton canvas // Contrast B: Moderate stretch knits.

Note: Unsuitable for obvious diagonals. Fabric requirement allows for nap, one-way design or shading. Extra fabric may be needed to match design or for shrinkage.
