Buy the Ultimate Jeans sewing pattern from Sew Over It. The only jeans pattern you’ll ever need - a true classic in three different styles! Make your perfect pair by choosing between a cropped ‘mum jeans’ version, a timeless straight leg or a slightly flared leg for a vintage touch. This pattern includes all the features of classic blue jeans from the topstitching to the hardware to the coin pocket. The clearly illustrated instructions will guide you through each step to achieve the sewer’s milestone of making your own jeans!

Suggested fabrics: Medium weight woven fabrics such as non-stretch denim, corduroy and twill. You can use stretch denim but it will require more fitting/you may need to go down a size.

Sizes 6 – 20

Version 1/2: 1.15 m wide fabric: 2.3 - 2.7 m // 1.40 m wide fabric: 2.2 - 2.6 m.

Version 3: 1.15 m wide fabric: 2.0 - 2.5 m // 1.40 m wide fabric: 1.6 - 2.4 m.

Sizes 18 – 30

Version 1/2: 1.15 m wide fabric (sizes 18 - 26 only): 3.2 m // 1.40 m wide fabric: 3.0 m.

Version 3: 1.15 m wide fabric (sizes 18 - 26 only): 3.2 m // 1.40 m wide fabric: 2.7 m.

Sizing: UK 6 – 20 and UK 18 – 30 (approx. UK 6 – 20 and UK 20 – 32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size charts and finished garment measurements.

Notions: 30 cm x 100 cm of cotton pocketing; 1.2 m (sizes 6-20) or 1.5 m (sizes 18-30) of lightweight interfacing; topstitch/heavyweight thread and matching regular thread; one 17 mm denim button and four 7-9 mm denim rivets and tools to set these; metal trouser zip that is at least 16 cm/6 1/2" (sizes 6-20) or 17.5 cm/7" (sizes 18-30). Buy a longer zip if you often adjust the rise of patterns, as you can always shorten it. You may want extra hardware to practice with.
