Buy the Sunday Trackies sewing pattern from The Modern Sewing Co. The Sunday Trackies were designed for days when you want that extra level of comfort. They are high waisted with an elasticated waistband and a drawstring. The legs are full length, neither wide nor skinny, and feature ankle cuffs to give an optional turn up a bit more style. There are also curved back patch pockets for your essentials. This design is unfussy and roomy in fit – perfect for comfy Sundays on the sofa.

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Note if purchasing copy shop printing: The waistband piece has been split (to fit on the A0 sheet) and will need to be joined together.

Suggested fabrics: Medium-heavy weight jersey. Sweatshirt fleece jersey or french terry are both nice options. This pattern also has the potential to work in a wool fabric.

Fabric requirements: 

150 cm wide fabric: Sizes 4 – 16, 190 cm // Sizes 18 – 28, 200 cm.

110 cm wide fabric: Sizes 4 – 16, 220 cm // Sizes 18 – 28, 240 cm.

Sizing: UK 4 – 28 (approx. UK 4/6 – 26, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

This pattern is drafted for a height of 5’8″.

Notions: Drawstring cord, 150 cm for sizes 4-10, 175 cm for sizes 12-18, or 200 cm for sizes 20-28; elastic for waistband, 2/3 cm wide; a small piece of fusing // Optional: two small eyelets wide enough for your drawstring (or you can make buttonholes instead).
