Buy the Daphne Trousers sewing pattern from The Modern Sewing Co. Daphne was developed to answer the need for a smart trouser with a high waist and a wide leg – something comfy but with an elevated, stylish feel. The high fitted waist gives elegance to this cut, while the loose fit from the lower hip downwards adds a casual charm. The pattern comes with three different length options as well as an ankle cuff option, and the ‘easy-fit’ construction method will allow you to tailor the cut to your own body.

– PDF (available to download immediately after purchase). What is a PDF?

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Note if purchasing copy shop printing: Some of the pattern pieces have been split (to fit on the A0 sheets) and will need to be joined together.

Suggested fabrics: Medium/heavy denims, medium/heavy twills, canvas, corduroy.

Fabric requirements: 

150 cm wide fabric: Sizes 4 – 12, 135 cm // Sizes 14 – 20, 190 cm // Sizes 22 – 28, 250 cm.

110 cm wide fabric: Sizes 4 – 12, 210 cm // Sizes 14 – 20, 215 cm // Sizes 22 – 28, 280 cm.

Sizing: UK 4 – 28 (approx. UK 4/6 – 26, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

This pattern is drafted for a height of 5’8″.

Notions: 1 button, roughly 2 – 3 cm diameter; 19 cm zip; 20 cm of mid-weight iron-on fusing; binding (the designer recommends making your own using a 40 cm x 40 cm piece of lightweight cotton or linen).
