Buy the S9634 Vintage Blouses and Cummerbund sewing pattern from Simplicity. It’s perfect for an advanced intermediate dressmaker. From the Simplicity Archives, fitted 1950s surplice blouses have soft inside pleats at shoulders, side zipper and back neck zipper. Options include three-quarter sleeves with elbow darts, sleeveless with cummerbund cut of border printed fabric, or one shoulder with beaded trim and side zipper.

Sizing: H5 (6-8-10-12-14) U5 (16-18-20-22-24), which is approx. UK sizes H5 (4/6 – 10), U5 (12– 20/22) based on our standardised size chart. Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Thread. A,B,C: One 12″ (31cm) zipper, 1/2″ (1.3cm) wide straight seam binding, 1/2″ (1.3cm) wide bias seam binding. Also for A,B: One 8″ (21cm) zipper, two hooks and eyes. Also for A: Tailored shoulder pads (opt.). Also for B: 5/8 yd. (0.6m) of 1/4″ (6mm) wide featherweight boning. Also for C: 1 5/8 yds. (1.5m) of 1/2″ (1.3cm) wide beaded trim, one hook and eye.
