Buy the Nicole Dress sewing pattern from Sew Over It. Nicole is a classic shirt dress with all the trimmings: buttons all the way down the front, collar and collar stand, and a midi A-line skirt with a gently curved hem. Bust and waist darts in the bodice create a feminine silhouette and you can pick between a gathered skirt or a flat-fronted skirt with darts at the back. And yes, there are pockets!

With two sleeve styles, this pattern can take you from spring all the way into winter. The short sleeve is finished with a stylish turn-up, whereas the long sleeve features a traditional shirt cuff with a bound opening.

Make Nicole in a viscose or crepe fabric for a fluid look, or choose a cotton poplin, cotton lawn or linen for a more structured style.

Sizes 6 – 20

1.40 m wide fabric: Version 1, 2.8 – 3.5 m // Version 2, 3.1 – 3.5 m.

1.15 m wide fabric: Version 1, 4.3 – 4.5 m // Version 2 (sizes 6-16 only), 4.4 – 4.6 m.

Sizes 18 – 30 (fabric must be at least 1.40 m wide)

1.40 m wide fabric: Version 1, 4.4 – 4.6 m // Version 2, 4.3 – 5.0 m.

Sizing: UK 6 – 20 and UK 18 – 30 (approx. UK 6 – 20 and UK 20 – 32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size charts and finished garment measurements.

This pattern is split into two different blocks. The 6 – 20 size range is drafted for a B cup. The 18 – 30 size range is drafted for a D cup.

Notions: 14 mm buttons, 17 for Version 1 or 15 for Version 2; 0.6 m of lightweight interfacing.
