Buy the Salida Skirt sewing pattern from True Bias. Salida is a skirt with two views. Each has a soft V-shaped yoke at the front and back, a high waist and a front zipper fly. View A is a fitted, panelled skirt that hits at the top of the knee and features a back slit for easy walking. View B is a mid-calf length panelled skirt that flares out at the bottom.
This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:
– PAPER (next working day dispatch on orders and FREE UK delivery over £50). This option is only available for sizes 0 – 18 (because the designer currently only prints this pattern in paper format for sizes 0 – 18). If you would like to purchase sizes 14 – 32, please select the copy shop option.
– PDF (available to download immediately after purchase). What is a PDF?
– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?
Suggested fabrics:
Main fabric: Medium weight woven fabrics such as denim, twill, corduroy, linen and chambray.
Pocket lining fabric: Lightweight woven fabric such as rayon bemberg, cotton voile or other standard lining fabrics.
Fabric requirements: Extra fabric may be needed to match stripes or plaids or for directional prints.

View A: 45″ (114 cm) wide fabric: 2 – 2.5 yd (1.9 – 2.3 m) // 54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 2 yd (1.9 m).
View B: 45″ (114 cm) wide fabric: 3.4 – 3.5 yd (3.1 – 3.2 m) // 54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 2.5 – 2.7 yd (2.3 – 2.5 m).
Lining: 1/2 yd (0.5 m).
Sizes 14 – 32
View A: 45″ (114 cm) wide fabric: 2.5 – 2.7 yd (2.3 – 2.5 m) // 54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 2 – 2.1 yd (1.9 m).
View B: 45″ (114 cm) wide fabric: 3.5 – 3.7 yd (3.2 – 3.4 m) // 54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 3.2 – 3.5 yd (2.9 – 3.2 m).
Lining: 1/2 yd (0.5 m).
Sizing: US 0 – 18 or US 14 – 32 (approx. UK 6/8 – 18/20 or UK 16 – 34, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size charts and finished garment measurements.
Note: The size ranges have been drafted from different blocks. The 14 – 32 block has a 1″ larger difference between the waist and hip circumference. Both size ranges are drafted for an average height of 5’5″.
Notions: Coordinating thread; fusible interfacing, 1.5 yd (sizes 0-18) or 2 yd (sizes 14-32); zipper, sizes 0-4 = 5″, sizes 6-10 = 6″, sizes 12-22 = 7″, sizes 24-32 = 8″; one sew-on 5/8″ hook and eye closure.
PDF pattern includes: Instructions; print-at-home pattern (44 pages for sizes 0-18, 47 pages for sizes 14-32); US copy shop pattern (1 sheet for either size range); A0 copy shop pattern (3 sheets for either size range).
