Buy the Baby/Child Roller Skate Dress and Tunic sewing pattern from Oliver + S. Are you ready with your skates? This cute and easy dress can also be made as a tunic, with two different styles for each length. All views include built-in cap sleeves, an empire-waist elastic casing, and a keyhole-with-button opening at the back.

Suggested fabrics:

Dress/Tunic: Light- to medium-weight woven fabrics like quilting cotton, shirting, poplin, broadcloth, lawn, voile, and linen.

Lining: Lightweight cottons like voile, lawn, or batiste.

6 months – 4 years: 44″-45″ (112-114 cm) wide fabric: Fabric A, Views A and B, 3/4 – 1 1/4 yd (0.7 – 1.2 m) // Fabric A, Views C and D, 3/4 yd (0.7 m) // Fabric B, Views B and D, 1/4 yd (0.2 m) // Lining, Views A and B, 3/4 – 1 1/4 yd (0.7 – 1.2 m) // Lining, Views C and D, 3/4 yd (0.7 m).

5 – 12 years: 44″-45″ (112-114 cm) wide fabric: Fabric A, Views A and B, 1 1/4 – 2 yd (1.2 – 1.8 m) // Fabric A, Views C and D, 3/4 – 1 1/2 yd (0.7 – 1.4 m) // Fabric B, Views B and D, 1/4 yd (0.2 m) // Lining, Views A and B, 1 1/4 – 2 yd (1.2 – 1.8 m) // Lining, Views C and D, 3/4 – 1 1/2 yd (0.7 – 1.4 m).
