Buy the Paloma Dress sewing pattern from Ready to Sew. Paloma is the perfect dress for the summer heat. With a lined bust, it was designed to be worn without a bra. The lining gives added support and modesty. Paloma is both retro and romantic, featuring a gathered neckline, an empire waist with ladder trim, and a side slit. This design was specifically envisioned for motivated beginners and slips on over the head without the need for a zipper. But if you would like to add a zipper, it is possible to do so in the side seam.

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). Choose sizes 32-46 or sizes 46-58. What is Copy Shop?

Note if purchasing copy shop printing: One of the pattern pieces has been split (to fit on the A0 sheet) and will need to be joined together.

Note: To save paper, there are no pattern pieces for the View 2 midi skirt. Instead, you draw the pieces (simple rectangles) directly onto your fabric using measurements in the instructions.

Suggested fabrics: Lightweight fabric such as linen. But you might also consider using a viscose fabric for a very drapey dress, or cotton poplin for a more structured version.

Fabric requirements:

View 1: 150 cm wide fabric: Sizes 32-50, 185 cm // Sizes 51-58, 350 cm.

View 2: 150 cm wide fabric: Sizes 32-50, 245 cm // Sizes 51-58, 320 cm.

Sizing: EU 32 – 46 and EU 46 – 58 (approx. UK 6/8 – 14/16 and UK 18 – 30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart.

Note: The size ranges have been drafted from different blocks. Range 1 (32-46) is based on a height of 167 cm and a B cup. Range 2 (46-58) is based on a height of 168 cm and a D cup.

Notions: Ladder trim in the same colour as your fabric, 105-168 cm.
