This A-line child’s dress has a bib-style yoke with flat piping, button details, optional ruffles at the front, and a button-loop closure at the back neck. It also has an inverted box pleat at the centre front, three-quarter-length sleeves with an inverted pleat at the sleeve hem, on-seam pockets, a separate hem facing, and slight gathering at the sleeve cap.

Suggested fabrics: Light- to medium-weight woven fabrics like quilting cottons, broadcloth, denim, gingham, chambray, gabardine, or seersucker, and linen.

Fabric requirements: 44″ – 45″ (112 – 114 cm) wide fabric:
6 months – 3 years: Dress, 1 1/8 – 1 3/8 yards (1 – 1.3 m) // Yoke and Hem Facing, 1/2 yard (0.5 m) // Bias Piping, 1/2 yard (0.5 m).

4 – 8 years: Dress, 1 3/8 – 2 1/4 yards (1.3 – 2.1 m) // Yoke and Hem Facing, 1/2 yard (0.5 m) // Bias Piping, 1/2 yard (0.5 m).
