Suggested fabrics: The Penny Pinafore is designed for mid-weight woven fabrics, such as 4-6 oz linen or linen blends, gabardine, lightweight twill or denim, or light canvas. Softer bottom-weight options like Essex linen, silk noil, Mora slub linen, and Brussels washer linen will create more drape in the skirt and are suitable for warm weather wear. You want enough body and stability to support the straps and the drawstring back.

Fabric requirements: You may need extra fabric to account for fabric shrinkage and any directional prints or nap.

View A (full length): 45″ (1.2 m) wide fabric: 3.25 – 3.75 yd (3 – 3.4 m) // 54″ (1.4 m) wide fabric: 2.5 – 2.9 yd (2.3 – 2.7 m).

View B (apron length): 45″ (1.2 m) wide fabric: 2.5 – 3 yd (2.3 – 2.7 m) // 54″ (1.4 m) wide fabric: 2 – 2.7 yd (1.8 – 2.5 m).
