Buy the Park Lane Dress and Blouse sewing pattern from Nina Lee. Choose between a flowing midi dress with delicate waistline gathers or the elegant darted blouse, both finished with a keyhole opening and button and rouleau loop closure at the back neck. Then mix and match amongst two different necklines and three sleeve variations, along with an optional shoulder ruffle. The full-length sleeves feature a button cuff with placket whereas the more voluminous mid and short sleeves finish with a plain band cuff.

Notions: A small amount of interfacing for the cuffs and neckline (if your fabric is very fine or shifty you may want to also interface the zip area); one 12 mm (1/2") button (or preferred size) // Full-length sleeve option: Four small cuff buttons (e.g. 9 mm (3/8")) // Dress: One 41 cm (16") concealed zipper.

The Park Lane dress by Nina Lee has already been made by many sewists and I can totally see why.
It has been on my long “to make” list for a while, but when I found this green viscose fabric, I knew it would suit it perfectly.
I made the straight size 12 and luckily it fits pretty well! I omitted the shoulder ruffle this time (mainly because I didn’t have a rolled hem foot and couldn’t make it look neat ?) but I added an extra ruffle at the hem, just to give it a little something.
I think the dress needed it with it being a plain colour.
Nina’s instructions on how to insert to the invisible zip are great, so don’t be scared ? I think this is the best one I’ve ever done! Haha!
The Park Lane dress is very elegant and I know I’ll definitely be making it again!
The possibilities of hacking are endless!

I have owned the Park Lane for some time but had always felt a little intimidated by this pattern - I'm not sure why but think the many lovely versions on IG made me think I couldn't possibly achieve it.
Finally I gave it a go last week and have no idea what took me so long! I made a toile first and graded from size 10 to a 12 at the hips (according to my 36-30-40 measurements). This was fine in the viscose I ultimately used but in a cotton would make a 1cm broad back adjustment.
I used a Pigeon Wishes viscose twill from Rag Shop which was perfect for this make - I would recommend using a viscose, cotton lawn or peachskin for this blouse.
The construction was really enjoyable and the little details made the blouse feel very special. This is the long sleeved version with shoulder ruffle but it would look great without those as a more basic blouse too.

I absolutely adore Nina Lee’s patterns and spied this dress before she’d brought the pattern out. Nina wore a rest version to the Sewing weekender last year and it was such a beautiful dress. I was so excited when she brought the pattern out and immediately bought it.
I was not disappointed!! The instructions are fabulous and hold your hand every step of the way. The construction is clever and there a lovely little details included like the keyhole opening at the back and the ruffle you can add to the sleeves. There’s a slight puff sleeve feature too and the gathers at the bust create a beautiful shaping in the bodice. As well as the key hole opening at the back there’s an invisible zip at the side.
The skirt has a Slightly dipped hem at the front and back which creates a lovely shape. I made a size 8 and chose to bring it in slightly at my hips as I have quite narrow hips. I needn’t of bothered though as it fit me so well I could have got away with not making this adjustment.
The sleeve is finished by gathering it into a band/cuff but I chose to finish it using some narrow elastic instead.

I'm in love with this pattern! I chose to make the blouse version as I have way too many dresses! I also wanted a blouse that I could dress up with trousers and heels. This pattern comes in so many options! There are two sleeve options, two neckline options and the choice of added sleeve ruffle. This was my first time sewing a Nina Lee pattern. The instructions were easy to follow and there are step by step pictures to guide you through. I chose a beautiful viscose cotton blend that is soft, nice drape but a little structure.
