Buy the Hallon Dress sewing pattern from Paradise Patterns. Hallon is a swingy dress perfect for summer! View A has a very relaxed fit and a lovely ruffled hem. The back sits low and loose, so the shape of your gorgeous back can be seen. View B has a straighter fit, with no back gathers so it sits closer to your back. It also has side seam slits.

You can of course also mix it up and put the hem ruffle on View B, or not use the hem ruffle on View A and add side seam slits instead.

Suggested fabrics: This dress looks great in a light to medium weight woven fabric, such as silk crepe or charmeuse, rayon twill or challis, tencel or modal. View A would also look cute and billowy in a crisp cotton or linen. View B begs to be made in a slinky, drapey fabric.

Fabric requirements: 

View A: 45″ (115 cm) wide fabric: 3.6 – 3.9 yd (330 – 360 cm) // 60″ (150 cm) wide fabric: 3.3 – 3.4 yd (300 – 310 cm).

View B: 45″ (115 cm) wide fabric: 3.3 yd (300 cm) // 60″ (150 cm) wide fabric: 2.9 yd (270 cm).

Sizing: 00 – 30 with B and D cup options (approx. UK 6/8 – 32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Choose B cup if your upper bust and full bust have a 2″ (5 cm) difference. Choose D cup if your upper bust and full bust have a 4″ (10 cm) difference.
