Buy the Ostara Top sewing pattern from Jennifer Lauren Handmade. Ostara’s classic and comfortable silhouette is the perfect base layer for any outfit. Elbow-length or long sleeves will take you from day to night, through all the seasons of the year. The elegant wide set neckline is designed to keep bra straps hidden, whether you choose to keep it simple with the U-shaped neckline, or go a little more nostalgic with the sweetheart neckline.

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Suggested fabrics: Look for lightweight knit fabrics with good stretch across the grain. The fabric should have 40% stretch with good recovery. When using fabric with 40% stretch, Ostara will fit bust cups A to D. The Ostara Top was drafted using a 95% cotton 5% lycra spandex knit with a weight of 180 gsm.

Fabric requirements: Extra may be required for pattern matching and directional prints.

View 1: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: Sizes 6-12, 1.4 m (1.53 yd) // Sizes 14-24, 1.5 m (1.64 yd).

View 2: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: Sizes 6-12, 1.1 m (1.2 yd) // Sizes 14-24, 1.25 m (1.37 yd).

Sizing: UK 6 – 24.  Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Matching thread; ball point or stretch sewing machine needle; 20 cm (8″) length of 6 mm (1/4″) wide stay tape (twill, ribbon, clear elastic, etc.); scrap of knit fusible interfacing, approx. 9 cm long x 2 cm wide (3 1/2″ x 3/4″); hand sewing needle.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/US letter print-at-home pattern (22 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (1 sheet).
