Buy the Nautilus Swimsuit and Bikini sewing pattern from Paprika Patterns. The Nautilus Swimsuit has an elegant twist centre front, like the shell of its namesake cephalopod. The pattern is fully lined and comes with 4 different cup size options (AA, A/B, C/D, E/F) to make fitting a breeze.

Options are included for a one-piece suit (View A) with a cute little peek-a-boo under the twist or a bikini (View B/C). The bikini comes with twists on the bottom that echo the bodice twist and a low rise (View B) or plain with a low or mid-waist rise (View C).

Instructions are included for optional cup insertion and side boning for coverage and support. The straps can be tied around the neck halter style or attached to the back.

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:

Suggested fabrics: Swimsuit fabric with 60-70% stretch. The fabric should have 4-way stretch. Swimsuit lining with the same amount of stretch as the main fabric.

Fabric requirements: Same requirement for fabric and lining.

View A: 45″ (114 cm) wide fabric: 1 – 1 3/8 yd (0.9 – 1.3 m) // 60″ (152 cm) wide fabric: 7/8 – 1 yd (0.8 – 0.9 m).

View B or C: 45″ (114 cm) wide fabric: 7/8 – 1 yd (0.8 – 1 m) // 60″ (152 cm) wide fabric: 5/8 – 7/8 yd (0.6 – 0.8 m).

Sizing: 0 – 30 (approx. UK 6/8 – 34/36, based on our standardised size chart) with AA, A/B, C/D and E/F cups. Please also check the designer’s size chart.

Note that AA and A/B cups only go up to size 24.

Cup size is determined by the difference between under bust (measured under the full bust) and full bust (measured around the largest part of your chest) measurements. Measure without a bra on (since you won’t wear a bra under your swimsuit). AA = 0-1″ (0-2.5 cm), A/B = 1-3″ (2.5-7.5 cm), C/D = 3-5″ (7.5-12.5 cm), E/F = >5″ (>12.5 cm).

Notions: 3 3/4 – 5 1/2 yd (3.5 – 5 m) of 1/4” (6 mm) swimwear elastic; 1″ (2.5 cm) swimwear hook; swimsuit bra cups (optional); 10″ (25 cm) of plastic boning (optional).

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; US letter/A4 print-at-home pattern (56 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (3 sheets). This pattern has layers so you can print only the size(s) you need.
