Buy the Children’s Mini Briar Sweater and Tee sewing pattern from Megan Nielsen. This is a stylish alternative to a basic t-shirt or sweater. The Mini Briar features a loose fit, high scooped front hem and low curved back hem. The pattern includes options for different lengths, neckline finishes, sleeve lengths, patch pockets and elbow patches as well as a selection of applique templates.
Version 1 is a short sleeved crop top. Version 2 is a cropped sweater. Version 3 is a long tee. Version 4 is a long sweater or long sleeved tee.

Suggested fabrics: This pattern will work equally well with jersey fabrics, sweater knits and stable knits. Your fabric should have between 10-20% stretch. Please note that if you use a fabric with more than 40% stretch the fit will be much looser. // Ribbing for neckline and sleeve cuffs (Versions 2 and 4). // Leather, vinyl or contrast fabric for pockets and/or applique and/or elbow patches (optional).

Version 1: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: 0.6 – 0.8 m (5/8 – 7/8 yd) // 115 cm (45″) wide fabric: 0.7 – 1 m (3/4 – 1 1/8 yd).
Version 2: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: 0.8 – 1.1 m (7/8 – 1 1/4 yd) // 115 cm (45″) wide fabric: 0.9 – 1.2 m (1 – 1 1/4 yd).
Version 3: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: 0.7 – 1 m (3/4 – 1 yd) // 115 cm (45″) wide fabric: 0.8 – 1.1 m (7/8 – 1 1/4 yd).
Version 4: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: 0.9 – 1.3 m (1 – 1 3/8 yd) // 115 cm (45″) wide fabric: 1.1 – 1.4 m (1 1/4 – 1 1/2 yd).
Ribbing (Versions 2 and 4): 0.1 m (1/8 yd).

Notions: Clear elastic, twill tape or stay tape for stabilising the shoulder seams (optional); twin needle for hemming (optional).
