Buy the Archer Work Pants sewing pattern from Matchy Matchy Sewing Club. These easy-fitting barrel-shaped pants feature special details like oversized askew front pockets and a contrasting inseam panel. There are knee darts on both the front and back legs as well as a back ankle dart, giving these pants their distinctive shape. These elastic waist pants are intended to sit at the natural waist with a relaxed fit in the hip and looser fit through the legs. The length hits above the ankle to further highlight the shape.

Suggested fabrics: Lightweight wovens such as linen, cotton or rayon for a light drapey appearance. Medium weight wovens such as 8-10 oz. cotton twill, canvas or denim for a more structured appearance.

Fabric requirements: Extra fabric may be needed to match stripes, plaids or directional prints.

44″ (112 cm) wide fabric: 2.75 – 4 yd (2.6 – 3.7 m).

54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 2.25 – 4 yd (2.1 – 3.7 m).

Sizing: XXS – 6XL (approx. UK 6 – 38, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

The Archer Work Pants are drafted for a 5’5″ (165 cm) height.

Notions: Fusible interfacing; 2″ (5 cm) elastic. When using heavier fabric the designer suggests using a rigid elastic such as a non-roll waistband elastic that is designed for heavier weight fabrics.
