Buy the Prado Trench Coat sewing pattern from Liesl + Co. The Prado Trench Coat is a classic unlined, double-breasted trench coat. The pattern features all the details you might want from a custom-made trench coat: princess seams, an attached cape with an inverted box pleat, notched collar with collar band, two-piece sleeves with button tabs, epaulettes, and a tie belt with belt loops. View A is knee length with on-seam welt pockets and a back walking vent, while View B is a simpler, cropped version without pockets or a back vent.

Note: The designer lengthened View A by about 12″ to make the dark khaki coat in the image gallery.

Suggested fabrics: This pattern works best with medium-weight woven fabrics like cotton twill, gabardine, canvas, linen, and sateen.

View A: 58″ (147 cm) wide fabric: 4 1/2 – 4 3/4 yd (4.1 – 4.3 m).

View B: 58″ (147 cm) wide fabric: 3 1/4 – 3 1/2 yd (3 – 3.2 m).

Sizing: 0 – 20 (approx. UK 8 – 20, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Fusible interfacing; ten 3/4″ buttons (View A) or eight 3/4″ buttons (View B).
