Buy the Baby/Child Library Dress sewing pattern from Oliver + S. This sweet little mock-wrap dress includes a wide front waistband with optional piping, a pleated skirt, and buttons up the back. It can be sewn in two different versions: a short-sleeve dress with a collar or a three-quarter-sleeve dress with notched cuffs.

Suggested fabrics: Light- to medium-weight woven fabrics like quilting cotton, broadcloth, lawn, poplin, shirting, voile, linen, fine-wale corduroy, and silk shantung.

Fabric requirements:

6 months – 4 years: 44″-45″ (112-114 cm) wide fabric: Views A and B, 1 1/4 – 1 3/4 yd (1.2 – 1.6 m) // View A, Waistband, 1/4 yd (0.2 m) // Optional Piping, Both Views, 1/2 yd (0.5 m).

5 – 12 years: 44″-45″ (112-114 cm) wide fabric: View A, 1 3/4 – 2 1/4 yd (1.6 – 2.1 m) // View B, 2 – 2 1/2 yd (1.8 – 2.3 m) // View A, Waistband, 1/4 yd (0.2 m) // Optional Piping, Both Views, 1/2 yd (0.5 m).

Sizing: 6 months – 4 years or 5 – 12 years. Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Thread; 1/2″ buttons or snaps (six for 6M-4, nine for 5-12); lightweight fusible interfacing.

PDF pattern includes: Illustrated instructions; US letter/A4 print-at-home pattern (26 pages for 6M-4 or 38 pages for 5-12); 36″ wide copy shop pattern. Does not include an A0 copy shop file.
