Buy the Lavender Robe sewing pattern from Alice & Co Patterns. The Lavender Robe is elegant in the bedroom, cosy in the bathroom and glams up nicely as an evening jacket/coat – it all depends on your choice of fabric. The robe is a quick and satisfying make: the wrap-around design is easy to fit and there are no fiddly fastenings. The pattern includes full instructions for French seams to make for a couture finish. An inside loop and tie hold everything in place and avoid any unwarranted un-wrapping!

The Lavender Robe features dropped shoulders, bracelet length sleeves, roomy pockets and a loose fit throughout. Wear loose and flowing or cinch as tight as you like with a matching or contrast tie belt.

Note if purchasing copy shop printing: Some pattern pieces may be divided across two A0 sheets. The sheets will need to be joined with no overlap. 

Suggested fabrics: The world is your fabric oyster with this design. It will work well in every kind of cotton from the softest lawn to crisp shirting through to a homespun slub or bouncy double gauze. For a luxuriously slinky robe, silk or satin would be a perfect choice. Make a long cardigan version in a Ponte di Roma knit or go for brocade for a stunning evening jacket/coat. While you’re making up your mind make a cosy towelling version for the bathroom or swimming pool!

Fabric requirements:

110 cm (45″) wide fabric: Sizes 6-16, 3.5 m (3 3/4 yd) // Sizes 16-22, 3.8 m (4 1/4 yd).

140 cm (55″) wide fabric: Sizes 6-16, 3 m (3 1/4 yd) // Sizes 16-22, 3.4 m (3 3/4 yd).

Sizing: UK 6 – 22 (approx. UK 6 – 24/26, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: 110 cm (43″) x 50 cm (20″) interfacing (optional); approx. 50 cm (20″) narrow ribbon for the inside tie.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions in A4 and US letter formats; A4 print-at-home pattern (36 pages for sizes 6-16, 40 pages for sizes 16-22); US letter print-at-home pattern (33 pages for sizes 6-16, 42 pages for sizes 16-22); A0 copy shop pattern (3 sheets for either size). Note: You must print this pattern in colour.
