Even if you’ve never sewn a zipper before, our instructions will guide you through the process and you’ll acquire a new skill and a new clutch bag!”

Suggested fabrics: 

Main: Textiles such as cottons, canvas, denim, corduroy. Directional prints are not recommended for main fabric.

Lining: Mid-weight textiles such as printed cottons, linens. Avoid very delicate fabrics and fabrics that fray easily.

Fabric requirements: 110-150 cm (36-55″) wide fabric: Main, 30 cm (12″) // Lining, 30 cm (12″) // Light-midweight fusible interfacing, 30 cm (12″) // Heavyweight stiff fusible interfacing, 20 cm (8″).

Sizing: See image gallery for finished measurements.

Notions: Light-midweight fusible interfacing (such as the type used for collars in shirts); heavyweight stiff fusible interfacing; one 25 cm (10″) metal zipper; one nylon zipper for internal pocket, at least 17.5 cm (7″) long; one set of 14-18 mm magnetic purse clasps and squares of scrap fabric (2 cm x 2 cm); one set of wrist strap hardware (12 mm D-ring and swivel hook).
