Buy the Jayne Pinafore Dress sewing pattern from Bobbins and Buttons. This easy fit, A-line pinafore dress has no zip. It fastens with buttons at the shoulders. There are two options: a seamless front panel with large shaped patch pockets, or a panelled back and front with hidden in-seam pockets offering an opportunity to mix colours or prints.

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Suggested fabrics: Woven fabrics including linen, medium weight denim, medium weight cotton and medium weight blended fabrics.

Fabric requirements: 

Pocket dress: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: 1.7 – 2.75 m (1.85 – 3 yd) // 112 cm (45″) wide fabric: 2.7 – 3 m (2.95 – 3.28 yd).

Panelled dress: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: Top panel, 1.15 m (1.25 yd) / Lower panel, 0.75 – 1.2 m (0.82 – 1.31 yd) // 112 cm (45″) wide fabric: Top panel, 1.9 – 2.3 m (2.07 – 2.51 yd) / Lower panel, 1.2 m (1.31 yd).

Sizing: UK 6 – 22 (approx. UK 6 – 18/20, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Fusible interfacing (optional); two 30 – 35 mm buttons.

PDF pattern includes: Step-by-step instructions; A4 print-at-home pattern (58 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (3 sheets).
