Buy the Jack Trench Coat sewing pattern from Ready to Sew. A contemporary twist on a trench coat, Jack has a relaxed fit and features big curved lapels, a gathered collar, and self-tied waist. Designed to be worn open.

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

What we think: This is a mash up of a trench and an anorak and we love it! A project to take your time with to get all the details perfect.

Suggested fabrics:

Main: Lightweight and fluid woven fabric. Gabardine, cupro, cotton-tencel blend, wool blend.

Lining: Rayon and silk satin, China silk, lightweight cotton fabric, crepe back satin.

Fabric requirements: Extra fabric may be needed to match plaids, stripes or one-way design prints. Always purchase a little more than required in case of shrinkage.

Main: 140 cm wide fabric: Sizes 32-38, 250 cm // Sizes 40-46, 300 cm.

Lining: 140 cm wide fabric: All sizes, 160 cm.

Sizing: EU 32 – 46 (approx. UK 4/6 – 16/18, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

This pattern was drafted for a height of 165 cm and a B cup.

Notions: 60 cm of 90 cm wide interfacing; twill tape, ribbon, grosgrain, cord or rope.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/US letter print-at-home pattern (59-71 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (4 sheets) // Layers: Yes // Projector file: No. Note: You must print this pattern in colour.
