Designed for lightweight knit fabrics, Algarve features a wide boat neck with front and back yokes, lovely gathers below the front yoke, and integrated short sleeves. If ordering a copy shop pattern, please choose from the following options: sizes 00-20 with a regular bust, sizes 00-20 with a full bust, sizes 16-40 with a regular bust, sizes 16-40 with a full bust.

Suggested fabrics: Use a lightweight knit fabric such as rayon/viscose/bamboo jersey, lightweight French terry, double-brushed poly, or ITY, ensuring it has elastane or spandex for good recovery, and offers 50% horizontal and vertical stretch, with excellent drape.

Fabric requirements: 54″ (135 cm) wide fabric: 1 – 2 1/8 yd (90 – 190 cm).

Sizing: US 00 – 40 with regular and full bust options (approx. UK 6/8 – 34/36, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

A note from the designer about bust options: To determine if you should use the regular bust front pieces or the full bust front pieces, subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 3″ (7.5 cm) or less, use the regular bust. If the rounded difference is more than 3″ (7.5 cm), use the full bust.

Notions: Very lightweight knit or tricot fusible interfacing; 30″ (76 cm) of 1/2″ (1.25 cm)-wide straight fusible stay tape (or you may cut your own using lightweight woven fusible interfacing on the straight grain).
