Buy the Iris Bralette sewing pattern from Primrose Dawn. Designed for stretch knits, the Iris Bralette has modest bust coverage with vertical seamed cups and a sweetheart neckline. Four front options include the addition of a bust sling in lace or fabric, and lace cup overlays. Back options include a basic band with no closure, band with back extension and optional lace overlay, and a ballet back with hook and eye closure. The front of the bralette is fully lined for comfort, with all seams enclosed. The upper edges of the bra can be finished with picot, piping, or fold over elastics.

Suggested fabrics: This pattern is designed for stretch knits with 30-60% crosswise stretch such as scuba, Liverpool, athletic net, glissenette, milliskin, swim nylon/spandex, athletic wicking knits, cotton/spandex jersey // Lining: Stretch mesh or self fabric // Band: Powernet or techsheen.

Fabric requirements: Main: 3/8 yd (0.4 m) // Lining: 3/8 yd (0.4 m) // Powernet: 1/4 yd (0.3 m).

Sizing: US 30A – 40F (approx. UK 30B – 40GG). Please check the size chart.

Notions: 1 1/2 yd (1.4 m) of 1/2″ (12 mm) bra strap elastic; 2 yd (1.8 m) of 3/8″ (10 mm) picot or 3/4″ FOE; 1 1/4 yd (1.1 m) of 1/2″ (12 mm) band elastic; 1 yd (1 m) of stretch lace trim at least 4 1/2″ (11.5 cm) wide (more lace may be needed to mirror the lace motif on pattern pieces); 2 rings and 2 sliders, 1/2″ (12 mm) // H: 2 row hook and eye closure.
