Buy the Gobi Culottes sewing pattern from Itch to Stitch. The Gobi Culottes are a unique and practical addition to your wardrobe. Made to look like a skirt, but with the convenience of pants, Gobi has a contour waistband that sits high at your natural waist. Features include front pleats with topstitching, slanted front pockets, and back seams for shaping. The buttoned fly front adds interest, and you can also lengthen the legs to create a longer pair for autumn!

Suggested fabrics:

Primary fabric: Use medium weight, non-stretch woven fabric, such as twill, broadcloth, tropical wool, lightweight denim and linen.

Lining: Use stable, lightweight woven fabric, such as quilting cotton and cotton batiste. The lining is for the pocket bags.

Fabric requirements: 54″ (135 cm) wide fabric: Primary fabric, 1 1/8 – 1 1/2 yd (100 – 130 cm) // Lining, 3/8 yd (30 – 40 cm).

If you choose to lengthen the culottes, you will need twice the additional length of primary fabric. For example, if you want to lengthen the culottes by 10″, you will need an extra 20″ of primary fabric.
