Buy the Baby/Child Forest Path Cape sewing pattern from Oliver + S. Take a little stroll in this simple, chic, fully lined cape. With buttons (or snaps) at the sides and the front, it’s easy on and off, and comfortable to wear when there’s a little chill in the air.

Suggested fabrics: Cape: wool coating, wool melton, velveteen (cotton velvet), moleskin, or corduroy // Lining: rayon, acetate, polyester, China silk, or cotton lawn. Note that slippery linings work well for this pattern.

Fabric requirements: 55″ – 60″ (140 – 152 cm) wide main fabric: 6 months – 4 years, 3/4 yard (0.7 m); 5 – 12 years, 1 – 1 1/4 yards (0.9 – 1.2 m) // 45″ (114 cm) wide lining fabric: 6 months – 4 years, 3/4 – 1 yard (0.7 – 0.9 m); 5 – 12 years, 1 1/4 – 1 1/2 yards (1.2 – 1.4 m).

Sizing: 6 months – 4 years and 5 – 12 years. Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Thread, lightweight fusible interfacing, five 1″ buttons and/or five snaps.
