Buy the Gabby Dress sewing pattern from Fibre Mood. Meet Gabby, with the ‘G’ from ‘good time’ and ‘graceful’. And it does it all without extravagant details. This dress has a wonderful drape. The triangular insert (godet) at the front is an eye-catcher, alongside the two-in-one balloon sleeves, which have a shorter inner sleeve that pulls the outer sleeve in. Gabby’s got some drama going on, but is still wonderfully simple. Too much drama? Just drop the godet – easy as that.

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:

– PDF (available to download immediately after purchase). What is a PDF?

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Suggested fabrics: There are many possibilities. Poplin, chambray, linen, lyocell, muslin, crepe (viscose, polyester…), satin, embroidery, lace…we could go on. If you like statement sleeves, then definitely choose a stiff fabric. You can also use a knitted fabric.

Fabric requirements: 110 cm wide fabric (sizes 4-12 only): 405 – 420 cm // 140 cm wide fabric: 375 – 445 cm.

Note: Pattern piece 3 has been positioned on the bias. It looks gorgeous and creates a wonderful drape. But you could also position pattern piece 3 on the straight grain to conserve fabric.

Sizing: EU 32 – 60 / US 0 – 28 / UK 4 – 32 (approx. UK 6 – 28/30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and pattern measurements.

Notions: Thread; iron-on interfacing, max. 35 cm.

PDF pattern includes: Step-by-step illustrated instructions; A4/US letter print-at-home pattern (59 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (3 sheets); projector pattern.

Note: Seam allowances are included in this pattern. The copy shop file we print for you shows the cutting lines only (not cutting lines and stitching lines) to make it easier to know what size to cut out.
