Buy the Éternité Menstrual Pants sewing pattern from Étoffe Malicieuse. These washable menstrual pants have been designed for knit fabrics, preferably with a spandex content. Éternité has a snug fitting back and sits at the hip: neither too high nor too low. These pants are quick and easy to sew and come in two variations:
Variant 1: For light to normal flow. Its finish is meticulous – all the gusset seams are enclosed.
Variant 2: For heavy flow or nighttime use. Variant 2 is even more carefully finished – all the seams are enclosed for a smooth and clean interior.

Suggested fabrics:
Main fabric: The designer recommends cotton jersey (preferably organic). Other options include fine lycra, elastic tulle, stretch lace. Your fabric should have about 50% stretch in both directions and be comfortable (and opaque!).
Gusset: Cotton jersey (preferably organic).
Absorbent layer: Cotton, bamboo or tencel absorbent fabric.
Waterproof layer: PUL (coated cotton).

Main fabric: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: Variant 1, 30 – 35 cm (11 3/4″ – 13 3/4″) // Variant 2, 55 – 65 cm (21 5/8″ – 25 5/8″).

Notions: Foldover elastic (FOE), 19 mm (7 1/2″) wide; thread; woolly nylon thread (optional); stretch jersey or ball-point needle.
