Buy the Eddystone Jeans sewing pattern from Itch to Stitch. The Eddystone Jeans are high-rise, ankle-length jeans that have you covered, literally! They keep your backside modest as you are moving about, while also being extremely comfortable. The Eddystone Jeans feature a classic five-pocket design and a pocket stay to keep pockets in place and trim the tummy. Choose from two styles: girlfriend fit and demi-boot fit. The girlfriend fit is fitted from the waist through the hip with tapered legs that give you the perfect amount of ease, balancing comfort and femininity. The demi-boot fit is similar to the girlfriend fit, but with a subtle flare starting at the knee.

Suggested fabrics:

Primary fabric: Use bottom weight, woven fabric with a firm stretch and great recovery. 10% stretch is ideal. Go up one size at the waist and hip if using bottom weight fabric with no stretch. Twill, denim and corduroy are great choices.

Lining: Use a stable, non stretch woven fabric. Quilting cotton is a great choice.

Fabric requirements: 

Primary fabric: 54″ (135 cm) wide fabric: Girlfriend fit, 1 7/8 – 2 3/4 yd (170 – 250 cm) // Demi-boot fit, 1 7/8 – 2 7/8 yd (170 – 260 cm).

Lining: 44″ (115 cm) wide fabric: 3/8 – 5/8 yd (30 – 60 cm).

Sizing: US 00 – 20 (approx. UK 8 – 22). Please check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: One 8″ (20 cm) or longer metal zipper (this is longer than the fly opening for ease of installation); one jeans button; 12″ x 6″ (30 cm x 15 cm) piece of water-soluble or tear-away stabiliser; 43″ (109 cm) of 1/4″ (0.6 cm) wide twill tape or non-stretch fabric selvedge (or clear elastic if you wish the waist to remain flexible); topstitching thread; ten rivets (optional).
